THRESHOLD: A Film by The Red Door Project

What if the real story isn’t who’s right— but what frame you’re holding?

At the Red Door Project, we create experiences that change people, not by telling them what to think or feel, but by expanding perspectives and opening up new ways of seeing.

In a time when outrage spreads faster than understanding, "Threshold" invites us to pause.
To see, not just what’s happening on the screen, but what’s happening inside ourselves.

Set in a studio, four characters watch the same police encounter footage. What unfolds isn’t about the event itself, but the collision of their inner worlds: their stories, fears, and truths. Each embodies a different way of knowing—emotional, systemic, lived, and intuitive—revealing that no single perspective is complete.

"Threshold" doesn’t hand you a message.

It holds up a mirror.
And asks: Now what?

The Evolve Mindset™

Since 2011, The Red Door Project has used storytelling to bridge divides and open minds. From "Hands Up" and "Cop Out" to "The Evolve Experience," our work has invited audiences into the space between opposing truths.

"Threshold" is the next leap in that lineage—It integrates The Evolve Mindset™, our conceptual backbone that helps people move beyond polarization and toward curiosity, humility, and self-awareness.

Why This Film, Now?

We live in a polarized society—divided by politics, identity, and perception. We often live in echo

chambers, seeing only what confirms our beliefs and mistrusting those with different experiences.

"Threshold" meets that moment not with more noise, but with space—space to feel, reflect, and maybe shift.

It’s a cinematic experience that models what it looks like to stay in dialogue across social divides. It restores hope that difference can be navigated and makes curiosity feel braver than certainty.

Community Screenings and Impact

In our first year, we’ll offer 40 community screenings to reach:

  • Criminal justice leaders—police, judges, corrections officers—and the communities they serve
  • Community organizations – churches, nonprofits, civic organizations
  • Conferences, professional trainings, and community forums
  • Regional and national audiences through our evolving distribution network
